CHA MEMBERSHIP:

CHA is a membership driven organization and proud of its grassroots heritage. Each member of CHA is eligible to vote, serve as a candidate for board election and participate in the shaping of the organization through volunteerism, committee participation and direct access to CHA senior management.

Any person, business, or association is invited to become a member of CHA. Members share in the mission of the organization, to promote excellence in safety and education in the horse industry and demonstrate that dedication to excellence by supporting CHA with membership fees, purchases and donations. Three types of membership (and multiple year memberships) are available:

Youth Membership: "TEAM CHA" $15.00
TEAM CHA – for kids 15 years old and younger. For only $15 a year, youth members will receive one free issue of Blaze Magazine, quarterly newsletters with lots of fun activities, a membership card and sticker and a chance to win great prizes by just hanging around with horses.

Kids, regardless of if they own a horse or not, can earn great prizes by being involved with horses in the Horse Connection Reward Program. Activities such as: grooming a horse, riding in a lesson, doing stable work – such as cleaning stalls and cleaning tack, volunteering at a horsemanship facility, going to an equine event – such as a county fair or horse exposition, participating in a horse show, riding in a parade, reading a non-fiction horse book or watching a non-fiction horse video all qualify for the rewards program. Great prizes will be given at different award hour levels.

CHA requires that you be at least 16-years-old to be a certified assistant instructor, so TEAM CHA allows those that are interested in getting involved with CHA an opportunity to do so, before they can qualify to be a certified assistant instructor. Many camps and riding facilities are offering the TEAM CHA membership as part of their week long camps this summer so the kids have something to go home with and keep working on all year long, until next year when they come back for horse summer camp. Individual Membership: $55.00 or Canadian $55.00
As a service to our International Individual Members (Including Canada), Membership dues are 1 Year ($55.00) 2 Years ($110) or 3 Years ($165) or Canadian 1-3 year ($55-165) Available to any individual, regardless of certification status. Annual membership is based on the calendar year of January 1 - December 31. Individual Members are eligible for all benefits as listed in sidebar (right) in the Membership Benefits section as well as discounts to attend CHA sponsored affaires. Individuals seeking first time certification will receive the remainder of their first year of membership compliments of CHA, at the completion of their first certification clinic. The Individual Member must maintain membership in subsequent years, to keep certification valid. We also offer lifetime memberships for $750.00

Program Membership: $200.00. Available to any business or association, such as camps, stables, schools, equine suppliers and producers. Annual membership is based on the January 1 - December 31 calendar year. Program members are eligible for all benefits as listed in the sidebar (right) in the Membership Benefits sections and the Additional Program Member Benefits as well as discounts for program representatives at each CHA sponsored affaire. First time Program Members receive a membership certificate suitable for display, complimentary Composite Manual and Standards for Group Riding Programs. CHA Accredited sites receive a discount of $35 per year (annual dues $165).

Affiliate Membership: $950 a year, includes:
• Listing in CHA Annual Directory that is mailed free each year, additional advertising also available.
• Link from CHA website to Affiliate Member home page
• CHA Online Directory Listing
• CHA Product Catalog mailed free
• Discounts for association members on Regional and International Conference fees
• One subscription to CHA quarterly magazine, The Instructor.
• Advertise in CHA E-Blasts, Magazine and on Website at member rates
• Continuing Education opportunities for members
• One-time article about association in The Instructor magazine each year
• Association gets time and space at the CHA International Conference for its own track each year
*Affiliate Member Association must supply CHA with its membership list when it first joins.
